Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American broadcaster. She is an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation often. In 2016, she was a part of ESPN. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta was bilingual since the time she turned nine. This ability which helped her obtain her first position as an Univision production assistant in Miami. In Miami, she collaborated with producers for television shows that were national, like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then it was announced that she was hired by the CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. In 2009, she moved in Rio Grande Valley to work as a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Reporting on stories on the trafficking of drugs and immigration on both sides the Texas-Mexico border, she was reporter for news for the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 at 5 pm. She was an anchor for the news channel in English at 9 pm and the news anchor was on until 10pm, before returning on the Spanish channel. She also filled in for anchors of sports and weather forecasters. Later, she was anchor and reporter at Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was granted more responsibilities. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and was the anchor. She also served as the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. She also served as an anchor on sports for Primer Impacto, a magazine program that airs on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd the 22nd of November, 1985, in Mexico City. She is the sister of a. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. Within a brief time her father split from her mother and she later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in 2006. When on vacation Antonietta spent the time at the home of her sister in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sibling had recently gotten a new job. Antonietta, a high-school senior having a clear idea of where she wanted her future to look like, traveled to Mount Union University in order to find out whether the university was suitable for her. As it turned out she loved the school and they were offering the kind of program she was searching for. She graduated from high school and began studying media at the university. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the director at WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a member. His passion for journalism and confidence in her own abilities encouraged her. In turn, she, tried to meet his standards and not disappoint him.
